Best Drones for Christmas
There are so many drones to choose from. So you may be wondering what the best drones for Christmas are?
Many of us are getting into the Christmas spirit at this time of the year. Maybe all you want for Christmas is a drone? I’m in the same boat, my friend.
Well, let’s start with this year’s Black Friday Deals? What a f’ing joke! Its been running the whole week running up to Black Friday and all throughout to the following week. Cyber Monday was just a blip, with no good deals on getting yourself a decent drone. In fact, the prices on many DJI drones had increased on Amazon.
Anyone who like myself is looking to get a DJI Phantom 4 Pro….was feeling pretty angry, to say the least. A few weeks back you could have got a DJI Phantom 4 Advanced for £993, come black Friday week the price went up to £1359 another £21 gets you a Phantom 4 Pro for £1380. The Pro hasn’t even changed in price.
If you were looking for an Amazon gadget you would get £15 to £20 off. If you wanted an electric toothbrush, headphones, chocolates or some other meaningless rubbish ……….you were spoiled for choice.
Anyhow rant over Ha!
If your looking for the best drone for video & photography
Then a DJI has got to be at the top of your list. The Phantom 4 Pro is the one to go for if you want the very best for under £1500! A step down would be a Phantom 4 Advanced. It’s basically the same as the Pro, uses the exact same camera but the obstacle avoidance is just at the front unlike the Pros 360 degree and ground sensor.
The Mavic would be the next choice. The DJI Mavic Pro also has a great camera but the main advantage is its portability. It can be folded up and put into an average sized backpack and is ready to fly in minutes.
If money is too tight to mention, then the Phantom 3 is a great choice. Obviously not as advanced as the 4 Pro but still a great drone, with a great camera.
If the above is still out of your budget then you cant go wrong with a Husban H501S X4 drone with a 1080HD camera with GPS and return to home features. A great entry level drone with built in camera.
Best drone for fun
One of my favourites is the MJX Bugs 3 that can be bought for less than £100. It has brushless motors, a fixed mount to attach your GoPro or a similar sized action cam.
The Syma X5 SC1 is a great choice for indoor use and some light outdoor use & even comes with a 720p camera built into it. For less than £35 of Amazon, you cannot go wrong. If you do go for the Syma make sure to order spare batters as these only last about 7 to 8 mins.
Best drone for kids
The Holy Stone Predator HS170 is a great drone to get kids and adults into flying drones. Has many features of much pricier drones and is easy to fly.
EACHINE E010 Mini Quadcopter is a fun cheap drone that even has return to home function. This would make a great stocking filler.
I hope this has narrowed down your search for a suitable drone for yourself or your loved ones.
